A Message from the President

Welcome to WCBC!

WCBC is made up of the combined forces of students from Wolfson College and St Cross College – and what a force it has come to be! In Summer Eights 2010 the club achieved a total of 14 bumps, placing the men as the most successful squad on the river, and the club as a whole as third. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and many thanks to our dedicated supporters who made the atmosphere down at the boat house so fantastic.

At WCBC we pride ourselves in catering for a wide range of abilities– whether you are totally new to rowing or a budding olympian. Rowing is a fantastic way not only to get fit and enjoy the thrill of racing, but also to meet lots of new people and experience the great team spirit that goes with it.

Each year the club goes from strength to strength, but this would not be possible were it not for the arrival of new and enthusiastic novices, and the dedication of our coaches and committee. If you are new to Wolfson or St Cross, we hope you can spare a few minutes to look around our website, get a feel for the boat club atmosphere and hopefully sign up to join us!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our committee. We look forward to welcoming you to WCBC.
